Davide Nido
|
Already present since 2006 in the FlashArt magazine Top 100 edited by italian art professionals, Davide Nido has sold well ever since in international auctions and has been seen in important solo and group exhibitions, among which the recent "Italian Art 1968-2007. Painting" curated by Vittorio Sgarbi and Maurizio Sciaccaluga at the Palazzo Reale in Milan. After studies in architecture and an artistic apprenticeship at Brera with Luciano Fabro and Aldo Mondino, the 40-year-old Davide Nido developed a highly personal artistic language in which vinyl glue is used to produce large compositions on canvas. His patches of colour are orchestrated in accordance with an initially rigourous geometric layout, but the artist likes to distrub and corrupt this in a manner that is at times imperceptible and at times leads to the extreme consequence of the dissolution of form.
