Pop painter and illustrator, Elena Rapa, with her surreal and distressed rabbits, has a solid preparation, as proven by a series of recent solo and group exhibitions. Amongst the latter,  "Arte italiana 1968-2007. Pittura" edited by Vittorio Sgarbi and Maurizio Sciaccaluga and held at Palazzo Reale (Milan).

Andreas Flevin stepped into Elena Rapa’s whirling imaginary. Referring to the characters the artist gave birth to, he says: “... Elena Rapa’s creatures, who in the dark bump into themselves, keep on looking for – who knows why – a gleam of light...”.
