Giulio Zanet was born in Colleretto Castelnuovo (Turin) on July 26th 1984. In 2006 he achieves the diploma at Brera Fine Arts Academy.

In 2006 he was finalist of the Celeste Prize; in 2007 he won the 3rd position for the Second International Painting Prize Arte Laguna. In 2010 he was finalist of the IV edition of the Italian Factory Prize for Young Italian Painting, where he won a two month residency at the cultural centre GlogauAIR, Berlin.

In spite of his young age, he already has taken part in two solo exhibitions and has been featured in a lot of group shows, both in Italy and abroad.

He currently lives and works in Milan.
