Giulio Zanet

Giulio Zanet is a young painter, who was recently awarded at the Italian Factory Prize 2010 a residence program at the GlogauAir centre in Berlin. He is an observer of the human universe, with its vices and virtues. Without any limit, nor hypocrisy. He told us “human beings have a great adaptability, for the better or the worst: I think that out of habit we could stoop so low as to do the worst things. And I am part of the world, so I guess my works are at the same time expression of myself as well as of the external world”. He adds: “I am not interested in provoking. I am more inclined to suggest or invite people to a reflection. Interpretation is extremely free”. Free is also his creative process: no fixed plan, the artwork gradually takes shape, by adding, cutting, deleting.
